Bonus Opt-In

Bonuses

Bonus opt-in is the explicit step of joining a promotion; without it a deposit stays plain cash and the offer usually cannot be added later.

A bonus opt-in is the explicit step a player takes to join a promotion, usually a tick box on the deposit page, a button in the promotions area or a bonus code entered before paying. Opt-in matters because most offers are not applied automatically: a deposit made without opting in generally cannot be converted into a bonus afterwards, and support teams rarely add it retroactively. Opting in is also the moment the terms attach to your account, so from that point the wagering requirement, max bet rule, game restrictions and expiry all bind the funds you deposit. If you would rather keep a deposit as unrestricted cash, the safest choice is simply not to opt in. Many sites also allow you to decline or cancel a bonus before play begins.
