What is Cashback Rate?

The share of net losses returned, usually weekly. Whether it lands as cash or as a wagered bonus matters more than the percentage.

What it means in practice

A cashback rate is the percentage of net losses an operator returns over a stated period, usually weekly. The word net is doing the work: it is losses minus wins, not a share of everything staked, so a break-even week returns nothing. The rate alone tells you little. What matters is whether the money arrives as cash or as bonus funds, and whether it carries wagering. Ten per cent paid as withdrawable cash is worth several times twenty per cent paid as a bonus at 30x wagering, and the two are advertised in the same typeface. Check the cap as well — most cashback is bounded per period, and a headline rate above a low ceiling is a rate you will rarely receive in full.

Why it matters

A definition like this one decides what an offer is actually worth. The same wording turns up in bonus terms, on payment pages and in game rules, and it is usually where a promotion’s real cost is hiding — so it is worth reading an operator’s own terms with this meaning in mind rather than the marketing above them.

You must be of legal gambling age where you live — 18 in most markets, 19 or 21 in others. Understanding a term does not make an outcome more likely: casino games are built to return less than they take over time. Set deposit and time limits before you play.
