Round

Casino

A round is one full cycle of play, from bets being accepted to settlement. Stake multiplied by rounds played is what a game actually costs.

A round is one complete cycle of play, from the moment bets are accepted to the moment they are settled. On a roulette table it runs from the opening of betting to the ball landing and chips being paid; on a slot it is a single spin; in a live game show it is one presenter-led draw. Each round is independent of the ones before it, so previous results carry no information about the next outcome. Round count is also the clearest measure of what a game costs: money at risk equals stake multiplied by rounds played, which is why fast formats such as auto roulette or turbo slots consume a balance more quickly than slower tables at the same stake.
