What is Account Statement?

An account statement records money in and out of a gambling account. How it differs from bet history and why complaints start with it.

What it means in practice

An account statement is the operator's record of money moving into and out of a player account: deposits, withdrawals, fees, bonus credits and adjustments, with dates and reference numbers. It is distinct from bet history and game history, which record what was wagered rather than what was paid. Licensed operators are generally required to make this record available, and most provide it in the cashier or account area, often as a downloadable file over a chosen date range. Some send it on request through support instead. It is the document that settles disagreements. A statement establishes whether a deposit was received, when a withdrawal was processed and what was deducted, which makes it the first attachment to any complaint. It is also the practical way to see net deposits over a period — a more honest figure than a balance — and it is what an operator or a bank will ask for if a source-of-funds check is ever raised.

Why it matters

A definition like this one decides what an offer is actually worth. The same wording turns up in bonus terms, on payment pages and in game rules, and it is usually where a promotion’s real cost is hiding — so it is worth reading an operator’s own terms with this meaning in mind rather than the marketing above them.

You must be of legal gambling age where you live — 18 in most markets, 19 or 21 in others. Understanding a term does not make an outcome more likely: casino games are built to return less than they take over time. Set deposit and time limits before you play.
