What is Feature Buy?

Pay 60-100x stake to enter the bonus at once. It does not improve the odds, and several regulators have banned it outright.

What it means in practice

A feature buy lets a player pay a fixed price — usually 60 to 100 times the stake — to enter a slot's bonus round immediately instead of waiting for it to trigger. It does not improve the odds. The published RTP for the buy is typically within a fraction of a point of the base game, so the money buys certainty of entry rather than value. What it changes is exposure per decision: a player who would have staked 1 unit a spin is now staking 80, and the same bankroll lasts a small fraction as long. Several regulated markets have banned the option outright, including the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, on the reasoning that removing the wait removes a natural brake. Where it exists, it is usually the fastest way to lose a balance in a game that would otherwise have taken hours.

Why it matters

A definition like this one decides what an offer is actually worth. The same wording turns up in bonus terms, on payment pages and in game rules, and it is usually where a promotion’s real cost is hiding — so it is worth reading an operator’s own terms with this meaning in mind rather than the marketing above them.

You must be of legal gambling age where you live — 18 in most markets, 19 or 21 in others. Understanding a term does not make an outcome more likely: casino games are built to return less than they take over time. Set deposit and time limits before you play.
