What it means in practice

A Lucky 15 is a wager on four selections that combines 15 separate bets: four singles, six doubles, four trebles and one fourfold accumulator. It is a form of full-cover bet with singles included, meaning any single winner returns money even if the other three selections lose. Bookmakers commonly attach bonuses to it, such as a double-the-odds boost when only one selection wins and a percentage bonus (often 5% to 20%) when all four win. Because every combination is covered, the stake is multiplied by 15. A £1 Lucky 15 therefore costs £15 total (£1 per bet). The bet is popular in horse racing and football, where backers want insurance against a single result letting down the whole slip. Worked example: you place a £1 Lucky 15 (£15 stake) on four horses priced at 2/1, 3/1, 4/1 and 5/1. If all four win, the singles, doubles, trebles and fourfold all land. The fourfold alone returns £1 × 3 × 4 × 5 × 6 = £360, and the full slip pays roughly £719 before any all-winners bonus; a typical 10% bonus would add about £72 on top. If only one horse wins, that single may still return with a doubled-odds bonus, softening the loss. For affiliates, Lucky 15 pages convert well because the bet is stake-heavy and bonus-driven, so clarify the exact bonus rules per bookmaker, as they vary. Compare with the Yankee (11 bets, no singles), the Lucky 31 and full-cover system bets generally.

Why it matters

A definition like this one decides what an offer is actually worth. The same wording turns up in bonus terms, on payment pages and in game rules, and it is usually where a promotion’s real cost is hiding — so it is worth reading an operator’s own terms with this meaning in mind rather than the marketing above them.

You must be of legal gambling age where you live — 18 in most markets, 19 or 21 in others. Understanding a term does not make an outcome more likely: casino games are built to return less than they take over time. Set deposit and time limits before you play.
