An online casino played on a phone, in the browser or an app. Why store rules limit apps, and what actually differs from the desktop site.

A mobile casino is an online casino played on a phone or tablet, either through the browser or through an installed app. Most operators run the same account, balance and game library across both, so switching device changes the interface rather than the offering. Apps and browsers differ mainly in how they are distributed. Real-money gambling apps are restricted in the major app stores: they are permitted only in listed territories, must be published by a licensed operator, and are simply absent from the store in markets the operator is not licensed for — which is why plenty of sites offer a browser version and an install prompt instead of a store listing. A browser site needs no install, updates itself and cannot disappear from a store, while an app can add biometric login and push notifications, the latter being marketing that the account's own settings can switch off. Two differences worth checking rather than assuming. Game libraries are not always identical: a handful of titles are desktop-only or land later on mobile, and live tables can be limited by connection quality rather than by the operator. And the payment list can differ, because device wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay appear only on the devices that support them.
