What is Wagering Progress?

Wagering progress is the running total of qualifying stakes counted against a bonus's wagering requirement, usually shown as a bar or a remaining figure in the cashier. It answers the only question that matters while a bonus is active: how much more must be staked before the balance can be withdrawn. The tracker regularly moves slower than a player expects, and the reason is almost always game weighting rather than an error. A requirement is stated in stakes, but not every stake counts the same. Slots typically count in full while table and live games count at a fraction or not at all, so an hour of blackjack can add far less progress than the same money staked on slots. Some operators also exclude specific titles entirely, and a stake on an excluded game contributes nothing while still costing the same. Two details are worth checking before starting. First, whether progress is measured against the bonus amount alone or the deposit plus bonus, because the second is a much larger requirement wearing the same number. Second, whether a maximum bet rule applies: exceeding it can void progress accumulated so far, or the bonus entirely, and that clause is enforced automatically rather than at anyone's discretion. Progress is also usually forfeited if the bonus expires or is cancelled, so the remaining figure is worth reading alongside the time left.
