Slot Tournament

A slot tournament is a timed competition in which players race on a set of eligible slots, are ranked on a leaderboard by points earned from wins or amounts wagered, and share a fixed prize pool split among the top finishers. It turns ordinary solo spinning into a head-to-head contest against every other entrant within a defined window. Formats vary. Scoring may reward the highest single win, the biggest cumulative win over a set number of spins, or the largest total wagered. Entry can be free (a freeroll) or require a buy-in or opt-in, and the window ranges from a few minutes to several days. The prize pool is usually distributed on a sliding scale, so finishing 3rd pays far more than 30th, and many events cap payouts at a maximum number of ranked places. Worked example: a casino runs a 60-minute slot tournament on one featured game with a £1,000 prize pool split 50/30/20 across the top three, plus £5 to positions 4 through 10. Each qualifying spin scores points equal to your win multiplier, so a £0.50 stake returning £25 scores 50 points. You place 2nd on the leaderboard and collect £300.
