What is Andar Bahar Side Bets?

The main Andar Bahar bet is close to even money and holds roughly 2.15 percent. The bets sold beside it are a different product. The common family wagers on how many cards will be dealt before the joker's rank is matched, offered in bands — 1 to 5 cards, 6 to 10, 11 to 15 and upward — with the multiple rising as the band becomes less likely. Others cover the suit or colour of the first card dealt. The arithmetic is the same in every case: a band pays more because it lands less often, and the operator sets the multiple further below true odds than it does on the main bet. Where the main game holds about 2 percent, count bands commonly hold from the high single digits into the mid teens. Worked example: a band that lands once in ten rounds and pays 8 to 1 returns 9 units for every 10 staked over those ten rounds, a 10 percent hold. One unit on Andar plus one unit on that band is two units of stake per round, but the second unit costs roughly five times as much per hour as the first. The bands and multiples differ between studios, and the rules screen is the only place they are stated. If you are playing Andar Bahar for its low margin, the side bets are the part that removes it.
