What is Expanding Wild?

An expanding wild is a wild symbol that grows to cover an entire reel — or, in some grid slots, a full row — substituting for other paying symbols to complete more winning combinations from a single landing. Instead of filling just one position like a standard wild, it stretches vertically or horizontally the moment it lands, so one symbol can suddenly touch every payline that passes through that reel.
