What is Game Information Panel?

The game information panel is the help screen inside a game itself, reached from a menu or an information button in the game's own interface rather than from the casino's page around it. It holds the rules, the paytable at the current stake, the feature descriptions and, in most regulated markets, the return to player. It matters because it is the only figure that describes the build you are about to play. A studio publishes one specification for a title; a casino may deploy any of several configured returns for that same title; and comparison sites, including this one, print the studio's number. When those disagree, the panel inside the game is the one that is true of your session, because it is generated by the running build rather than written about it elsewhere. Where the requirement exists it is a licence condition rather than a courtesy, which is why the panel is present even in games whose interface hides everything else. Some markets go further and require the return to be visible without leaving the game, and a few require it on the first screen. Two practical notes. The paytable shown is usually calculated at the stake currently selected, so the same screen reads differently after you change your bet, and comparing symbol values across games is only meaningful in multiples of the stake. And a panel that states a return several points below the figure a review quotes is not an error on either side: it is the operator having chosen a different build, and the panel is the side of that disagreement that governs what you are playing.
