What is Lightning Roulette?

Lightning Roulette is a live-dealer roulette variant from Evolution that adds random multipliers to a standard European single-zero wheel: before each spin, between one and five 'Lucky Numbers' are struck by lightning and assigned multipliers of 50x, 100x, 200x, 300x, 400x or 500x for that round. All the usual roulette bets remain available, but straight-up (single-number) bets that land on a Lucky Number pay the multiplier instead of the normal 35:1. The trade-off is a reduced base payout. To fund the multipliers, straight-up bets in Lightning Roulette pay 29:1 rather than the standard 35:1, and only straight-up wagers qualify for multipliers; outside and split bets pay as usual. Worked example: you stake 1 pound straight-up on 7. Normally a win pays 35 pounds. This round, 7 is struck as a Lucky Number carrying a 200x multiplier. The ball lands on 7, so you are paid at 200:1, 1 pound x 200 = 200 pounds. Had 7 not been lit, the same straight-up win would return only 29 pounds under the reduced base rate.
