What is Muflis?

Muflis is the lowball variant of Teen Patti, in which the entire hand ranking is turned upside down. The weakest hand in standard Teen Patti wins, and the strongest loses. Reading from best to worst in Muflis: high card, pair, colour, sequence, pure sequence, trail. A trail of aces, the best hand in the ordinary game, is the worst hand here. Within the top category the low cards win, so the best possible Muflis hand is 2-3-5 in mixed suits. It cannot be 2-3-4, because that is a sequence, and a sequence is a liability in this variant. Aces count high in the ordinary game and therefore count as the worst high card here, which reverses the usual instinct to hold on to one. Worked example: you hold 2-4-7 of three different suits and an opponent holds a pair of threes. In standard Teen Patti the pair wins easily. In Muflis your 2-4-7 wins, because a pair sits below high card in the reversed order. The practical caution is that Muflis is a home and social-play variant.
