What is Blind and Seen Play?

Blind and seen play is the stake rule at the centre of traditional Teen Patti. A player who has not looked at their three cards is blind; one who has looked is seen. A blind player stakes the current amount, and a seen player must stake at least twice it. Looking at your cards is therefore not free — it doubles the price of staying in the hand. The rule exists to pay for information. A blind player is betting on nothing, so the game compensates them with a discount, and a seen player who knows their hand pays for that knowledge on every round. A blind player may look at any point and immediately becomes seen for the rest of the hand, at the doubled rate. Worked example: the current stake is 10, so a blind player calls for 10 and a seen player calls for 20. Two blind rounds and two seen rounds cost 20 and 40 respectively, and a hand that runs long costs a seen player twice what it costs a blind one. The point to check before depositing is that most live-casino Teen Patti tables do not use this rule at all.
