What is Betting Window?

The betting window is the fixed period in a live dealer round during which bets can be placed. A countdown appears on screen, and when it ends the table locks and the presenter deals or spins. Anything not confirmed before the lock is not in play, which is the main way live tables differ from software games where you act at your own pace. Window length is a design choice and varies by table: standard tables allow enough time to place several chips, while speed variants shorten it deliberately to fit more rounds into an hour. That matters more than it sounds, because a shorter window means more rounds played per session and therefore more money staked in the same time. Two practical notes. A slow connection can cost you the last second or two, so bets placed right at the end may not register — the confirmation on screen, not the click, is what counts. And most tables let you repeat the previous bet with one action, which exists precisely because the window is short.
