What is No-Commission Baccarat?

In standard baccarat a winning bet on the banker hand pays even money minus a commission, usually taken by the house at settlement. No-commission baccarat removes that deduction and instead pays one specific banker win — most commonly a banker win with a total of six — at a reduced rate rather than at full odds. The point to understand is that the commission is not simply waived. It is replaced by a different adjustment, and the two are not identical in effect. Which variant is better for a given player depends on the exact rule the table uses and on nothing else that is under the player's control, so the practical step is to read the table's own rules rather than assume that removing a visible cost makes the game cheaper. This matters most because no-commission tables are marketed on the absence of the commission, which is the visible fee, while the compensating rule is in the paytable.
