Loyalty Card

A loyalty card identifies a customer to an operator's rewards scheme: the physical or digital card used in a casino, betting shop or gaming venue, and the account-level equivalent online. Presenting it while playing accrues points on turnover, tracks tier progress and unlocks whatever the operator attaches to those tiers, from cashback and free spins to event access and hospitality. In a casino the loyalty card and the player tracking card are usually the same object, because the tracking function is what makes rewards possible at all. Reward value is typically a small percentage of the amount staked, so points never offset the long-run cost of play and should not be a reason to keep playing. The card also creates a record the operator can act on, which is why loyalty data increasingly feeds affordability checks and marketing preferences a player can switch off.
