Squeeze

Squeeze is a live baccarat ritual in which the dealer slowly peels back and reveals (squeezes) the cards on camera to draw out suspense before the final value is shown. It is a theatrical flourish borrowed from high-limit land-based baccarat, where players traditionally bent the cards themselves, and it has become a signature feature of premium live-dealer tables streamed by studios such as Evolution. The squeeze changes nothing about the mathematics of the game. The house edge stays fixed at roughly 1.06% on the Banker bet, 1.24% on the Player bet, and around 14.4% on the Tie, regardless of how slowly the cards are turned. What the squeeze adds is pacing and drama: a single hand that would resolve in seconds on a standard table can stretch to a minute or more as the dealer teases the pips into view. Worked example: you stake 50 dollars on Player at a Squeeze Baccarat table. The dealer slowly reveals your two cards to a 6, then squeezes the Banker hand to a 5. Player wins and pays even money (1:1), returning your 50 dollars plus 50 dollars profit. Had you backed Banker and won, the same result would carry a standard 5% commission, so your 50-dollar profit becomes 47.50 dollars. For players, the squeeze is pure entertainment value and slows the hands-per-hour rate, which can help bankroll discipline.
