Seven Up Seven Down is a live two-dice game common on India-facing tables, and the whole game is three bets: the total is under 7, exactly 7, or over 7. Two dice produce 36 combinations. Fifteen of them total less than seven, fifteen total more, and six total exactly seven. The rule that decides the price is that seven is not a push. Under and Over are usually paid at even money and both lose when a seven rolls, so a bet that looks like a coin flip wins 15 times in 36 and loses 21. That is a house edge of 16.67 percent, roughly ten times what a blackjack or baccarat main bet costs. The exact-seven bet is typically paid 4 to 1 against true odds of 5 to 1, which produces the same 16.67 percent. Worked example: stake 10 on Under across 36 statistically typical rolls. You stake 360, win 15 rounds for 150 and lose 21 rounds for 210, ending 60 down — one sixth of everything you put through.
