What is Roulette Racetrack?

The racetrack is the oval betting panel beside the main roulette layout. It arranges the numbers in wheel order rather than in numerical order, which is the whole point: the standard grid tells you nothing about which numbers sit next to which on the physical wheel, and the racetrack tells you nothing else. It exists to place the French call bets in one click. Voisins du Zero covers the seventeen numbers around the zero, Tiers du Cylindre covers the twelve opposite it, Orphelins covers the eight the other two leave out, and Jeu Zero covers a tight group around the zero itself. Each is a multi-chip bet placed in a fixed pattern; selecting it on the racetrack lays every chip at once instead of asking you to place seven or nine of them by hand. A racetrack also enables neighbour bets: pick any number and the table backs it plus a chosen number of neighbours on each side of the wheel. None of this changes the price of anything. Every one of these is a bundle of ordinary inside bets, paying and costing exactly what the same chips would on the main grid; the racetrack is a faster way to place them, not a better one.
