A satoshi is the smallest indivisible unit of Bitcoin, equal to one hundred-millionth of a single BTC (0.00000001 BTC). It is named after Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin's pseudonymous creator, and lets the network price transactions far below the value of a whole coin. Crypto casinos lean on this granularity to display micro-bets, faucet rewards and low-stakes slot spins in satoshis rather than tiny, hard-to-read BTC fractions.
Because one BTC contains 100,000,000 satoshis, the fiat value of a satoshi shifts entirely with the Bitcoin price. If BTC trades at $60,000, one satoshi is worth $0.0006, so 1,000 satoshis (often shown as 1k sats) equals about $0.60 and 100,000 sats equals roughly $60.
Worked example: a crypto casino advertises a slot with a minimum bet of 100 satoshis. With BTC at $60,000, that stake is worth $0.06 per spin. Its associated crypto faucet drips 50 satoshis, or about $0.03, per claim. To reach a 10,000-satoshi ($6) withdrawal threshold from the faucet alone, you would need 200 claims, before any network transaction fee is deducted.
For players, quoting stakes and bonuses in satoshis makes tiny wagers legible but can also disguise real-money exposure, so always convert sats to your local currency before betting. For affiliates, casinos that headline satoshi-denominated faucets or no-deposit sats target crypto-curious sign-ups. Compare with bitcoin-casino, crypto-faucet and stake to keep the true monetary value in view.
