What is 3-Reel Slot?

A three-reel slot is a game laid out with three vertical columns of symbols, the format used by the earliest mechanical machines and kept alive in classic online titles. Most have one payline across the centre, though some offer three, five or nine. With only three positions to fill, winning combinations need three matching symbols instead of five, and paytables are short.
