What is Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA)?

The Curaçao Gaming Authority is the regulator created by Curaçao's 2024 gambling reform (the National Ordinance on Games of Chance, P.B. 2024 no. 157) to license operators directly, replacing the master-licence system that ran for two decades. What changed for players is verification. CGA licences use the format OGL/2024/1262/0493 and are listed on a public certificate portal, so a number printed in a footer can be checked against the regulator's own record — licensee name, company number, grant date and current status. That is a genuine improvement on the old sublicence numbers, which could not be looked up at all. A seal that fails to resolve on that portal is a signal worth acting on: it usually means the operator has left Curaçao for another jurisdiction and has not updated its footer.
