A shifting wild is a wild symbol that moves to a new position on every respin, staying in play and typically triggering another respin each time it lands, until it either drifts off the reels or a respin produces no fresh win. As a wild it substitutes for regular paying symbols to complete combinations, but its defining trait is mobility: instead of vanishing after one spin, it relocates and grants a free respin, letting a single feature stretch across several consecutive spins.
