What it means in practice

A wallet address is a unique public string of letters and numbers that identifies a crypto wallet on a blockchain, shared with others so they can send funds to it — the on-chain equivalent of an account number. When you deposit to or withdraw from a crypto casino, you copy this address into the payment field so the network knows where the coins should go. Address formats differ by network: a Bitcoin address might look like "bc1qar0srrr7xfkvy5l643lydnw9re59gtzzwf5mdq", while an Ethereum or USDT (ERC-20) address begins "0x" followed by 40 hexadecimal characters. Crucially, an address is chain-specific — sending Bitcoin to an Ethereum address, or a token to the wrong network, can lose the funds permanently with no recovery. Worked example: you request a 0.05 BTC withdrawal, worth roughly £3,200 at a £64,000 price. You paste your wallet address, the casino broadcasts the transaction, and after, say, 3 network confirmations the coins arrive. If you had mistyped even one character, most addresses include a checksum that rejects the entry — but a valid-but-wrong address would send your £3,200 to a stranger, unrecoverable. Practical context for players: always copy-paste the address rather than typing it, verify the first and last few characters, and confirm the network matches (BTC to BTC, ERC-20 to ERC-20). Reputable operators display your deposit address as both text and a QR code to reduce errors. Never reuse a deposit address blindly if the casino rotates them per transaction. Compare with private key, hot wallet, cold wallet and network confirmation.

Why it matters

A definition like this one decides what an offer is actually worth. The same wording turns up in bonus terms, on payment pages and in game rules, and it is usually where a promotion’s real cost is hiding — so it is worth reading an operator’s own terms with this meaning in mind rather than the marketing above them.

You must be of legal gambling age where you live — 18 in most markets, 19 or 21 in others. Understanding a term does not make an outcome more likely: casino games are built to return less than they take over time. Set deposit and time limits before you play.
