Independent Testing Laboratory

An independent testing laboratory, often called a test house, is an accredited third-party firm that examines gambling software before and after it reaches the public. Regulators in most licensed markets require this testing as a condition of approval, so the laboratory sits between the game supplier and the regulator rather than working for the player. Typical work includes verifying that the random number generator behaves as claimed, confirming that a game's actual return matches its published theoretical return over long simulated runs, checking that game rules and help screens are accurate, and reviewing platform functions such as bonus handling and account limits. A certificate covers a specific software version, which is why operators must re-submit after material changes. Certification confirms the maths is as described; it does not make any individual session more likely to win.
